Karachi Five persons including a woman were killed in separate incidents reported in the city on Wednesday. Saeedu Khatoon, 42, was shot dead by armed men in Orangi Town police limits. Police source said that the deceased was a resident Baloch Goth and was killed by her husband Sardar Khan Magsi who suspected her character.
During investigations it was revealed that accused Magsi is an officer in Customs Department and had disputes with his family on different occasions. Zafar, the victim’s son also told the police that his father used to beat Khatoon on minor issues.
On Wednesday morning, the couple had yet another argument. Magsi took out his pistol and shot Khatoon and fled from the spot. After hearing the shots, the family members came out of their rooms only to find Khatoon dead. The family informed the police about the incident.
In a separate case, the tortured body of an unidentified man was found from Nazimabad police limits. Police said that the deceased body was found lying in bushes situated in Bara Maidan.
MISHAPS: Neeena 6, a minor girl was crushed to death by a speeding coach in Maochko police limits. Police said that the deceased was a resident of Leghari Market. The bus driver managed to flee from the spot.
Altaf, 25, a cleaner died in a freak accident on Wednesday. The deceased was taking a nap under a trailer parked at Berth 2 of Dockyard, in Jackson police limits, when it was moved and crushed Altaf to death.
Meanwhile, Ashraf, a labourer, died when he fell down from a tree. As per details, Ashraf was climbing a coconut tree at Boat Basin for stems when suddenly he lost his balance and fell to the ground and died. The deceased was a resident of Qasba Colony.
