The newly engaged 22-year-old has reportedly signed on to write an entire series of YA books about a photojournalist named Clea Raymond, according to Us magazine.

The first book, Elixir, is due out in October of this year. Then, she’s writing a non-fiction book about children coping with divorce, and that’s slated to hit book stores in 2012. Her parents are divorced, and the Big D has been the subject of a couple of her songs, so why not turn the lyrics into literature?

She and NHL player Mike Comrie got engaged last month in Maui, and now she’s proudly sporting a 14-carat, $1 million rock on her hand. No word on when they’ll be tying the knot, but, in any case, 2010 is looking like a pretty monumental year for this star.
